Two individuals were thrown into the lagoon after an LT 18-seater bus, bearing the registration number FKJ 872 YA, veered off the road at a high speed and collided with the railings of the Third Mainland Bridge near the Adeniyi Adele area, heading towards Lagos Island.
Currently, the Marine Police are conducting a search for the victims.
The Southwest Zonal Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, reported that the crashed vehicle has been moved to the Adeniji Adele police station.
According to an initial report, two fatal accidents involving an LT 18-seater with registration number FKJ 872 YA occurred in the vicinity of Adeniyi Adele, heading towards Lagos Island.
He said;
“On a very high speed swerved off the road and hit bridge rails and caused the two passengers flung off into the lagoon
“The victims, an adult male and female are being searched by the Marine Police.”
