In an extraordinary event, a 71-year-old man who was pronounced dead by doctors in Lagos was revived 12 hours later.
According to his son, the man was declared dead on Sunday evening, July 28, following a brief illness.
The son initially posted a status on WhatsApp confirming his father’s death, leading to an outpouring of sympathy from friends and family.
However, a few hours later, he deleted the status, causing confusion and prompting questions from those who had seen it.
Unable to provide immediate answers, the son remained silent until he revealed the astonishing development during a radio program on Wednesday morning, July 31.
During the radio broadcast, the son explained that his father had shown signs of life 12 hours after being declared dead.
He also mentioned that his father, who is now recovering well, has been consuming a lot of fruit, water, and food. The revived man is expected to celebrate his 72nd birthday on Friday, August 2, 2024.
The son also revealed that family and friends had begun to gather for the burial rites, as their Muslim faith calls for prompt burials.
This miraculous event has left the community in awe and sparked widespread astonishment and curiosity.
