Nollywood star Damilola Adegbite recently took to social media to share an amusing and rather unconventional story about how a man managed to catch her attention while she was stuck in traffic.
The actress, known for her roles in popular Nigerian films and television shows, recounted the incident that occurred several years ago.
In her own words, Damilola explained that she was on her way to work when she found herself in a traffic jam.
Suddenly, another car bumped into hers, prompting her to step out and assess the damage.
As she approached the other vehicle, her irritation quickly turned to surprise when she noticed the man who had hit her car was not only apologetic but also quite good-looking.
“He apologized and offered to send someone over to pick my car up from wherever I was going, to fix the little dent,” Damilola recalled.
Although she was initially hesitant to trust a stranger with her car, the man persisted, suggesting that he could send workmen to repair the vehicle while she was at work.
Reluctantly, she agreed, and the two exchanged phone numbers. Later that day, the repairs were carried out as promised.
But the story took a romantic turn when a man arrived with a huge bouquet of flowers and a note from the man who had caused the minor accident.
The note read, “I’m sorry for hitting your car, but it was the only way I could get your number.”
The actress concluded her story with a laugh, admitting that while the situation was unexpected, it certainly left a lasting impression.
