Nollywood actor Ime Bishop, popularly known as Okon of Lagos, has voiced his disapproval over the increasing trend of plastic surgery, particularly Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBL), among individuals.
In a video shared online, Bishop expressed his belief that altering one’s body goes against God’s creation.
According to him, while God made humans with wisdom, individuals choosing to modify their bodies are interfering with divine design.
He warned that those who undergo cosmetic surgery will eventually face consequences for tampering with God’s work, implying that such decisions could have negative outcomes.
The video sparked varied reactions online. Some netizens shared differing opinions.
User grace_emmanuel commented, “It’s not bad to fix some part of your body that makes you insecure but please go to the right doctor so you will get the best results.”
Meanwhile, okeke_cynthia argued, “Life generally has consequences, allow people to live as they deem fit! If you have the money, correct your body.”
Others responded more humorously. udosweet reminisced about Bishop’s comic roles, saying, “This man can mumu for movies that year. Okon you are loved, keep up the voice!”
Another user, peaceful_baddie, proudly proclaimed, “Thank God my own yansh is real, if you have natural big ikebe gather here and say cheese.”
