Folakemi Falana, sister of Nigerian rapper Falz and daughter of prominent human rights lawyer Femi Falana, has fired back at popular online personality, VeryDarkMan (VDM), following allegations made against her family.
The conflict escalated after VDM accused the Falanas of bribery, corruption, and perverting justice, along with additional claims about Falz’s personal life. In response, the Falanas issued a 24-hour ultimatum demanding an apology and a retraction of the allegations.
However, VDM refused to comply, insisting that his comments did not amount to defamation. This refusal has now prompted Folakemi Falana, an entertainment lawyer, to announce that her family will pursue legal action. In a public statement, she declared, “Since you have refused to do the needful, see you in court.”
Folakemi emphasized her family’s longstanding dedication to the Nigerian people, highlighting their efforts in securing presidential pardons for citizens free of charge. She described the accusations as baseless and defended her father and brother’s integrity.
With VDM standing his ground and the Falanas pushing for a legal resolution, the case seems poised for a courtroom showdown.
