Controversial Nigerian influencer Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has allegedly been arrested at the Seme Border while attempting to flee to Benin Republic.
According to reports from critic and social media personality, Verydarkman, the arrest occurred on the morning of Monday, October 21, at the Nigerian border.
The arrest is reportedly linked to an ongoing investigation by the Nigerian House of Representatives.
Bobrisky is accused of evading a panel appearance after being summoned to answer questions related to viral leaked audio.
In the audio, Bobrisky allegedly admitted to bribing his way out of prison with the help of a godfather, as well as having a money laundering case dropped by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Verydarkman shared the information via Instagram, stating, “Bobrisky has been arrested this morning at the Seme border while trying to enter Benin Republic to escape the current investigation by the House of Reps.”
There has been no official confirmation from the Nigerian immigration authorities, and Bobrisky has yet to comment on the alleged arrest.
