Breaking: FG Increases NYSC Allowance From N33,000 To N77,000

In a significant development, the Federal Government of Nigeria has approved an increase in the monthly allowance of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members from N33,000 to N77,000.

This adjustment aligns with the recently enacted National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Act, 2024.

The announcement was made in a letter issued by the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission on September 25, 2024.

The letter, signed by the Commission’s Chairman, Mr. Ekpo Nta, confirms the implementation of the new allowance, which is expected to take effect immediately.

Further details regarding the disbursement and implementation process are yet to be released.
