Famous American singer Chris Brown has expressed his deep appreciation for Nigerian superstar Wizkid, referring to him as his “brother for life” due to a kind gesture that made a lasting impact.
In a post seen online, Chris Brown revealed that despite performing across America throughout his career, he had not performed in the UK for over a decade. That changed when Wizkid invited him to perform at the O2 Arena in London in 2021.
“Wizkid invited me to my biggest stage in the UK in 10 years. I had been performing all around America and had not gone there for any show before. One day, Wiz called and told me he was getting everything set for me to come to his O2 Arena concert. He paid for everything, and I was wowed. Wizkid is my brother for life,” Brown shared.
The gesture held even more significance for Brown, who had been banned from the UK in 2009 following his conviction for assaulting his then-girlfriend, Rihanna. The ban had hindered his ability to perform in the country for years, making Wizkid’s invitation to one of London’s most prestigious stages a milestone moment in his career.
