Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to N899.50 per litre, bringing relief to Nigerians as they prepare for the upcoming holiday season.
This price cut is a further step following the refinery’s earlier reduction to N970 per litre on November 24.
The announcement, made by Anthony Chiejina, the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of Dangote Group, aims to help reduce the financial burden on Nigerians, especially with the holiday season marked by increased travel and higher transportation costs.
During this period, travel expenses typically surge due to the high demand for movement across the country, and the price adjustment seeks to ease the impact on families and commuters.
As Africa’s first privately-owned oil refinery, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has continuously worked to provide affordable fuel options for Nigerians.
This move is in line with its broader goal of supporting economic stability and reducing the cost of living for citizens, particularly at a time when many face financial strain.
With this new price cut, the refinery hopes to foster better mobility and contribute to the overall economic wellbeing of Nigerians during the festive season.
The announcement comes just ahead of what is expected to be a busy travel period for many across the country.
