Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has issued a bold response to those questioning her about the father of her newborn son.
In a live session, she dismissed their inquiries with a stern remark, urging them to stop wasting their time searching for the identity of her child’s father.
The actress, who welcomed a baby boy, Oluwafirewamiri, last week, had already shared her joy with fans, expressing her excitement and gratitude for becoming a mother.
On November 26th, she hosted a naming ceremony for her son, attended by several colleagues from the Yoruba movie industry, including veteran Fali Werepe, Omowunmi Ajiboye, Damola Olatunji, Iyabo Ojo, and Tope Osoba.
However, what caught many by surprise was the absence of her baby’s father at the event, which led to a flood of questions from her followers.
Addressing the speculation in her live video, Dayo shot back, “Please is your husband missing? Or are you counting the census of husbands, and you were told that your husband is with me; hence, you are asking for the father of my child? Don’t waste your time looking for my kid’s father. There are certain things you can’t have satisfaction for”
Dayo also took the opportunity to tell her critics that it was not mandatory for people to congratulate her, emphasizing that some things simply aren’t anyone’s business.
She added that certain questions would never provide the satisfaction people were hoping for.
Her comments come amidst years of online mockery over her previous struggles with fertility.
In 2023, Dayo Amusa had publicly addressed those who mocked her, sharing her thoughts on self-love, independence, and the challenges she faced in past relationships.
She also emphasized that marriage is not the solution to loneliness and that people should not rush into it.
Despite the controversies, the birth of her son seems to have quieted many of the false narratives surrounding her.
As Dayo Amusa celebrates this new chapter in her life, she continues to advocate for self-respect and self-care, leaving critics with little room for speculation.
