The Department of State Services (DSS) operatives have killed one and arrested another of the kidnappers of Hajiya Hauwa’u Adamu, mother of well-known Kano-based Hausa singer, Dauda Rarara.
A senior source in the secret service informed a popular Nigerian print media that N26.5 million was recovered during a covert operation.
The source also mentioned that the Kano command’s tactical team, using reliable intelligence, apprehended a group of five bandits in Makarfi bush while they were dividing the ransom.
“One Hamisu Tukur, is currently in custody with gunshot injuries, while Bature was killed,” the source said.
Remember, on Friday, June 28, 2024, gunmen invaded the home of Rarara’s mother in Kahutu village, Danja Local Government Area of Kano State, and abducted her which she later regain her freedom after being held in their custody for 20 days.
