The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has urged Nigerians to turn to God for forgiveness and divine wisdom to address the nation’s economic challenges.
The monarch made this appeal during the fourth annual “Odun Olodunmare” celebration held on Saturday, November 9, at his palace in Iwo, Osun State.
Speaking at the event, the Oluwo emphasized the need for national repentance and a return to spiritual values.
He said, “What Nigerians need at this time is to go back to God and ask for forgiveness and wisdom to solve the various economic challenges facing the country. When things are going like this, we should take everybody back to God, just as I am doing today.”
He further noted that divine intervention was essential in overcoming the country’s difficulties, calling on all Nigerians to reflect on any wrongdoing, particularly ingratitude towards God.
“We need God’s intervention, and all of us need to go back to this one God, who will give us the wisdom so that all these curses will be removed from our heads,” the monarch added.
The annual “Odun Olodunmare” festival is a celebration dedicated to seeking divine blessings and promoting spiritual renewal in Iwoland.
