The owner of Twitter, now called X, Elon Musk, has revealed that the platform will soon stop displaying the numbers of likes and reposts a user get on their timeline.
He revealed this on Wednesday, March 6 at a conference while addressing Morgan Stanley’s technology, media, and telecom.
The billionaire tech said when likes and reposts are showing on the timeline, it makes the platform looks unkept.
Musk said;
“The information could visually clutter content on the platform.
“That is certainly happening. Musk stated on X that the timeline will just display view counts as a proxy for other metrics”.
He revealed that the timeline will continue to display view counts.
Recall, Musk bought the platform in October 2022, and since then, he has proposed significant adjustments on several occasions.
In August 2023, the platform commenced its monthly advertising revenue payment program for approved content authors.
He also removed the “block” feature, says it made “no sense”.
However, few weeks ago, Musk introduced a new feature where the users can make audio and video call.
