The Federal Government of Nigeria has issued a stern warning against any foreign interference in the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, addressed the Diplomatic Corps in Abuja on Wednesday, August 7, emphasizing Nigeria’s stance on the matter.
Ambassador Tuggar stressed that the government is committed to addressing the challenges facing the country through various reform programs and measures.
He reminded the diplomatic community that no nation tolerates foreign interference in its domestic affairs, and Nigeria is no exception.
“The government would take appropriate action against any foreign entity residing in Nigeria that is found to have directly or indirectly supported the protesters by whatever means or seeks to interfere in the internal affairs of the country,” Tuggar stated.
He highlighted the importance of maintaining cordial relationships with other countries and organizations, urging for their understanding and collaboration in the government’s efforts to address economic challenges.
