Four months after welcoming their first child, Ashanti and her husband, Nelly, are reportedly expecting their second baby together.
According to Page Six, the couple, who secretly married last December, are overjoyed to expand their family once again.
The pregnancy news comes after the pair welcomed their son, Kareem Kenkaide Hayne, on July 18. In a heartwarming moment, Ashanti shared the emotional experience of seeing her newborn’s face for the first time during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, describing it as “such an electrifying feeling” and a deeply spiritual moment.
Ashanti, 44, and Nelly, 50, have had a long history together, first meeting at a Grammy Awards press conference in 2003.
Over the years, they’ve collaborated on several projects, including their 2008 hit “Body on Me” and the recently released 2024 track “This Lil’ Game We Play.”
Despite a breakup in 2013, the couple rekindled their romance in Las Vegas in April 2023 during a boxing match, and by September, Nelly confirmed their revived relationship.
The couple’s secret wedding took place in St. Louis, Missouri, on December 27, 2023, with a marriage license obtained by Page Six confirming the news.
