In a startling revelation, rapper Kanye West shared his disillusionment with the music industry, highlighting his controversial actions and the pressures he faced as a musician.
“The world thought I was mad when I peed on the Grammys. I saw what Diddy and other people did to young musicians to give them the Grammys, and I had to save them by publicly showing it is useless,” West said, referencing a now-infamous moment that sparked widespread media attention.
West went on to criticize the dark side of the industry, discussing how his moral stance led to financial repercussions.
“The industry is dark. You all saw how I went from a billionaire to a millionaire because I refused to follow what they wanted me to follow. I’d rather be broke and have my life than be a billionaire who can’t sleep at night,” he revealed.
Addressing his spiritual journey, West warned about the dangers of chasing wealth at any cost. “The Devil doesn’t know when to stop. He will use you and disgrace you when he is tired. Seek God,” he advised.
West’s statement comes barely a month after the arrest of music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
Diddy was arrested by authorities on charges related to sex trafficking, drug abuse, and other crimes.
The investigation is still ongoing at the time of filing this report.
