Reports surfaced earlier this week that Speed Darlington, born Darlington Okoye, has been missing for several days, sparking concern among fans and followers.
Becksblog had earlier reported that Speed Darlington had not been seen or active online for about three days.
The controversial singer recently made headlines for taunting Burna Boy in a viral video, referencing American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged involvement in sex trafficking.
The video fueled speculation about ongoing tensions between the two Nigerian artists.
While addressing the reports of Speed Darlington’s disappearance, Burna Boy confirmed the situation but expressed his frustration over Speed Darlington’s public attacks.
In a statement shared on social media, Burna Boy vented:
“I used 10 years to get to where I am today, and for the past 5 years, I’ve barely slept for 4 hours. I work day and night to achieve the results you see, and yet people publicly try to diminish my efforts. This is not just about me; it affects the younger generation. You’re making them think there’s no legitimate path to success, and that’s wrong. I have family—parents who see this—and it hurts. How could my own people conspire to bring me down after all my hard work? He will remain in jail forever.”
Burna Boy’s remarks reflect his deep-seated frustration over what he perceives as attempts to undermine his achievements and set a negative example for up-and-coming artists in Nigeria’s music industry.
