Following the film’s release, Orji was suspended from his church due to the controversy it generated.
His pastor told him the church had received numerous questions about his role in the movie.
Despite assurances of confidentiality, a journalist exposed the story, seeking confirmation of his suspension.
Orji also talked about the strain the film placed on his marriage.
He explained that his wife, also an actress, was upset by the provocative scene, with many people feeding her negative thoughts.
This led to issues in their relationship, although he couldn’t recall how they eventually resolved them.
