The Take It Back Movement, one of the prominent organizers of the “End Bad Governance” protest, has set Saturday, August 10, 2024, for a one-million-man protest across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The National Coordinator of the movement, Mr. Sanyaolu Juwon, made this announcement in a statement released on Thursday, August 8, in Abuja.
He emphasized that the protest, which initially began on August 1 as a 10-day campaign, has rapidly grown into a nationwide movement.
“The Take It Back Movement (TIB), alongside other key organizers and organizations, will lead a historic one-million-man protest on August 10 in each of Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja,” Juwon stated.
This protest marks a significant moment in the “EndBadGovernanceInNigeria” campaign, which aims to address the growing hardships and governance issues in the country.
What started as a planned 10-day protest has evolved into a far-reaching and sustained movement, drawing participants from all over Nigeria and even the diaspora.
The protests, which have been ongoing since August 1, are set to culminate on Saturday, August 10, with the hope of compelling the government to take action on the worsening economic conditions affecting the citizens.
