In a candid and emotional revelation, American rapper, Cardi B has opened up about her decision to end her seven-year marriage with rapper Offset, citing his continuous infidelity as the breaking point.
The Grammy-winning artist shared that she had tried everything within her power to make the marriage work, but Offset’s repeated cheating became impossible to endure.
“I really wanted to keep my marriage with Offset, but it reached a point where I couldn’t convince myself to overlook his actions,” Cardi B explained. “We were married for seven years, and every single month of the year, I caught him cheating on me.”
Despite her efforts to build a stable home, including accepting Offset’s three children from previous relationships as her own, Cardi B found herself increasingly neglected. “I decided to humble myself and be a good wife and mother to his children. But he started acting like I didn’t matter, and I always found myself begging for attention, even when I was pregnant,” she shared.
Cardi B expressed how deeply she desired love and affection from her husband but was left disappointed. “All I ever needed was love and affection from my man, but he was clearly too busy looking elsewhere,” she added, noting that Offset only seemed to take her seriously when she publicly expressed her pain.
The Bronx-born rapper, who is richer than Offset, slowed down her music career to focus on being a wife and mother.
She even took cooking lessons and other steps to fit into the traditional “wife material” role. However, these sacrifices were not enough to keep Offset faithful.
