In a bold statement, Evangelist Gospel Agochukwu JP has taken to social media to express his strong disapproval of the popular reality TV show Big Brother Naija.
According to the evangelist, he has blocked the Big Brother channel from his decoder, citing concerns about the moral impact the show is having on society.
“I am not against the entertainment industry making money,” he began, “but I am against what Big Brother Naija is promoting in our society. The show is promoting immorality, and anyone watching it is doing more harm to their spiritual life.”
Evangelist Agochukwu’s comments reflect his deep concern about the values being imparted by the program. He mentioned a recent incident where he came across a clip of a female contestant allegedly engaging in inappropriate behavior.
“The other day, I was scrolling down my phone, and I saw one young lady in the Big Brother house masturbating. Is this what Big Brother Naija stands for?”
The evangelist went on to warn parents and viewers about the potential spiritual dangers of watching the show, suggesting that it leads to negative influences such as “the spirit of lust, the spirit of lies, the spirit of masturbation, and sexual sin.”
He further predicted that the show’s content could continue to decline in quality, even suggesting that future contestants might enter the house naked.
In his closing remarks, Evangelist Agochukwu urged others to follow his lead by blocking the show from their homes.
“I blocked that program in my house because it’s not of God,” he declared. “Watching Big Brother Naija will corrupt your soul. Abstain from it.”
His statements have sparked a conversation online, with supporters and critics alike weighing in on the controversial stance.
