In a recent sermon, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the founder of Salvation Ministries, made a bold declaration about the power of tithing. Sharing his experience, he stated, “I gave God $1 million. Yes, $1 million!”
Pastor Ibiyeomie emphasized that the size of one’s offering can influence the blessings one receives, urging his congregation to give generously.
“If you want big things from God, give Him more and more,” he said, stressing that believers should not hold back in their tithes if they seek significant blessings from God.
“See me, see where I am today. It is because of how much I gave God,” he added, pointing to his own success as proof of the rewards that come from large offerings. He encouraged his followers to “glorify the Lord” through their giving, promising that their lives would “change for good.”
The pastor’s remarks have sparked discussions on social media about the link between giving and receiving blessings in faith practices, with opinions divided on the matter.
While some agree with his perspective, others question the emphasis on the monetary value of religious contributions.
