A startling revelation has emerged from an insider who claims to have been the true originator of the widely successful Mark Angel Comedy.
According to the source, who is identified as Dennison Igwe, revealed that Mark Angel was initially employed as a security guard at Kilimanjaro Restaurant in GRA, Port Harcourt, while Igwe was involved in camera work.
Igwe alleges that he stole a camera and began producing comedy skits, with Mark Angel suggesting the creation of a Facebook page to share their content.
As the page grew and became monetized, Igwe claims that Mark Angel never disclosed this development.
Igwe also recounts how Mark purchased a car in 2014, attributing it to a gift, while he began paying young star Emmanuella 20,000 thousand naira monthly.
Despite the comedy group’s growing success, Igwe, who was living in poverty and described himself as an orphan, was reportedly never compensated adequately. It wasn’t until 2016 that he received ₦50,000 from Mark, who insisted that the venture wasn’t generating substantial revenue.
However, Igwe asserts that the comedy group was making $160,000 at the time.
Igwe emphasizes their lack of fear in revealing these details, citing their orphan status and the inability of Mark to harm them.
He also mention that others within the comedy group remain silent out of fear, with allegations of mysterious deaths and accidents befalling those who speak out against Mark Angel.

“I Stole A Camera And Started Shooting Skits For Us. Mark Suggested That We Create A Facebook Page And We Did. When The Page Became Monetized Or Something, Mark Never Told Me.
“He Bought A Car In 2014 And I Asked Him How He Got The Money, He Told Me That Someone Gave The Car To Him. He Also Started Paying Emmanuella N20k Every Month; We Were Poor, Living In A Batcher, I Was An Orphan, None Of Us Actually Knew The Value What We Were Doing Was Bringing.
“Mark Never Gave Me ₦1000 Until 2016 When He Gave Me ₦50k And Asked Me To Manage It That What We Were Doing Was Not Bringing Money. Meanwhile, We Were Making $160,000 Then.
