In a dramatic scene at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, a Nigerian woman tore her husband’s international passport in full view of onlookers shortly after their arrival from abroad.
The incident, which occurred on Saturday, August 10, was captured on video and has since gone viral on social media.
The couple, who had traveled with their children, reportedly had a heated disagreement upon landing.
In a fit of anger, the woman ripped apart her husband’s passport, leaving the pieces scattered on the floor.
As the man attempted to pick up the shredded document, his wife was heard saying, “This is Nigeria.”

Many are speculating about the reasons behind the woman’s actions, while others have expressed concern over the potential legal implications of destroying a government-issued document.
She also added:
“Na me tear am. Bring my children out for me. If you want to sleep there, you sleep there. Come and go. This is Nigeria. Na here you dey.”
