Nigerian comedian and actor Adebowale Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has sparked conversations about fidelity in relationships, describing it as a challenging but achievable feat.
Speaking on the Diary of a Naija Girl podcast, the entertainer candidly shared his perspective on the complexities of staying faithful in marriage.
Despite being single, Mr Macaroni drew from his experience offering advice to friends navigating relationship challenges.
“It’s possible not to cheat, but it is very difficult,” he admitted. “I might not be in a relationship or considering it right now, but I’m a relationship expert. I’m serious. I’m an expert because my friends talk to me about their relationships, and I advise them. But I think it’s easy to help them because I’m outside the relationship.”
He elaborated on the slippery slope of infidelity, pointing out that once someone crosses the line, it becomes harder to stop.
“So, it’s very difficult not to cheat as a married person. Both male and female, not just the man. You tell yourself that you will cheat only once, but once you start, there’s no going back,” he noted.
The comedian’s remarks have sparked debates about the pressures of modern relationships, with many reflecting on the importance of commitment and self-discipline.
