Information reaching Becksblog.com.ng, that Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has cut down the price of his company cement from Five thousand, five hundred naira (N5,500) to Two thousand, seven hundred naira (N2,700).
According to report, that the effects will begin from 1st October 2023.
Sen. Umahi who released the information via his official Facebook page, wrote;
“Today I, together with my team had lunch with my brother and good friend, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
“We discussed far-reaching issues bothering on our economy and governance.
“In the fulfilment of the Renewed Hope, we close ranks to deliver on the assignment Nigerians sent us through Mr President, His Excellency, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
“Recall that BUA group, another frontline producer of cement in Nigeria, had recently promised Nigerians to bring down the price of their cement to N3000 by January next year.
“The minister for works is said to have also intimated Dangote Group of his intentions to import cement for works in Nigeria due to the high cost of the local products”.
