98% of traders in Jos, Plateau state, are rejecting the old 500 and 1,000 naira notes from residents despite Supreme Court judgment.
Becksblog.com.ng while speaking with some residents on Thursday, 9 March in Jos, said they haven’t received any directives from the appropriate authority to start collecting the old naira notes.

A Keke rider, said he had not started collecting the old notes because he was told that fuel stations are not accepting it.
A passerby said, “Taxi drivers have refused to collect the old notes of N500 and N1,000, so you do not expect me to collect it from others because it may end up being a waste to me.”
Esther said; “Access Bank gave me the old naira notes, but I went to Gada Biu market, the traders refused to take it from me I had to return it back to the bank.”
