In Akure, Ondo State, a tragic incident occurred where two lovers were reportedly electrocuted during an intimate moment, emphasizing the need to create awareness about electrical safety.
An eyewitness reported that the incident took place in the Ayeyemi area of Ondo town, Ondo State.
According to report gathered by Becksblog.com.ng, the middle-aged man, named Eric, and his unidentified girlfriend were discovered dead in a new apartment. Their bodies were found close together, suggesting they were engaging in sêx at the time.
A source noted that a doctor later separated the bodies. It is speculated that the couple was electrocuted during their intimate encounter, potentially due to contact with an exposed wire. A generator was running, and a phone was plugged in and placed on the bed.
The bodies were found by the man’s relatives after they failed to reach him the next day. They saw the bodies through a window and broke down the door to enter.
Funmi Odunlami, the state police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and said an investigation is ongoing. She mentioned that the couple, known to both families, were not found stuck together, and the cause of their deaths is still under investigation.
