Nollywood star and influencer May Edochie has filed a defamation lawsuit against comedian Chidi Uzoma, also known as Comedian Baba De Baba, over a series of damaging allegations posted on his Facebook page.
According to Edochie’s lawyer, Baba De Baba falsely claimed that the actress has a preference for women over men in private.
The comedian’s post further alleged that Edochie traveled to Ghana with her female friends to seek out men for relationships.
In addition to these claims, Baba De Baba accused Edochie of being HIV positive and reportedly warned men in Ghana to be cautious around her.
Edochie is demanding that the comedian remove all negative posts related to her and issue a formal apology by Sunday, December 15, 2024.
In response, Baba De Baba acknowledged his willingness to apologize but stated that he would not be removing all the content in question.
He claimed that fans of May Edochie, known as “May Nation,” have targeted both Judy Austin and Yul Edochie in a similar manner.
The comedian also noted that his Facebook page is managed by someone else, making it a complicated process to delete the posts.
This legal action has sparked public attention as the case continues to unfold.
