Former Labour Party presidential aspirant, Peter Obi, has dismissed the concept of “miracle alerts,” labeling it as a fabrication by pastors.
Obi made this statement during an interview on a podcast hosted by Nedu Wazobia, where he shared insights into his views on religion and financial success.
“There is no such thing as miracle alerts. It is all fake. These pastors are just making it up,” Obi said firmly during the discussion.
Clarifying his stance, Obi explained that his perspective stems from personal experience within a deeply religious family, which includes a brother who is a Reverend Father.
Despite his devout prayers, Obi noted, his brother has never experienced a miraculous financial deposit.
“When I say these things, trust me, I know. I come from a very religious family, so do not think I am saying this to ridicule anyone,” he stated.
Encouraging Nigerians to focus on practical ways to earn a living, Obi advised, “It would be advisable for you to focus on how to make money instead of praying for something that will never come.”
The statement has stirred mixed reactions, with some praising his candor and others defending the belief in divine financial interventions.
