A Nigerian man has taken to social media to express his frustration and sorrow over the dismissal of his mother from the Armed Forces Specialist Hospital in Kano after 21 years of dedicated service.
According to the man, identified as JaushAnay on Twitter now X, said his mother was terminated for refusing the alleged advances of the hospital’s commandant.
In his tweet, JaushAnay shared the distressing news, stating, “My mom just received her sack letter today, August 4, 2024. After 21 years of working and hoping that the employment would be promoted into a permanent one, she has been sacked because she does not want to sleep with the commandant.”
JaushAnay’s mother, a registered nurse and midwife, had served as a temporary staff member at the Kano military hospital for over two decades.
Despite her long tenure and consistent efforts to secure a permanent position, her hopes were dashed by the unexpected dismissal.
The tweet has garnered significant attention, with many social media users expressing their outrage over the alleged misconduct and the treatment of a long-serving healthcare worker.
The situation has raised concerns about workplace ethics and the abuse of power within the military hospital system.
As of now, there has been no official response from the hospital or the relevant authorities regarding the allegations made by JaushAnay.
The incident has sparked calls for an investigation into the matter and for justice to be served.
