Popular Nigerian actress, Angela Okorie, has sparked a wave of reactions online after throwing shade at an unnamed individual.
In a recent post on her Instagram page, the single mother of one questioned the sincerity of someone who claimed Nigeria was improving while making questionable personal choices.
Okorie’s post, shared on Thursday, August 29, targeted the individual’s decision to marry an older man, challenging the notion that Nigeria is truly “good.” She wrote, “Nigeria good na him you go marry man wey old pass your grandfather. You won advice Nigerians but you no advice yourself, rubbish.”
Though Okorie did not mention any names, her post has been widely speculated to be a response to fellow actress Regina Daniels.
Daniels, who married 60-year-old billionaire senator Ned Nwoko at the age of 19, recently urged Nigerians to be patient with the current administration, stating that the country is gradually improving under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.
The post from Okorie comes just weeks after Daniels’ public plea to end the #EndBadGovernance protest, further fueling speculation that the shade was directed at her.
