The comedian, who spent six years completing a four-year course due to ASUU strike, inscribed the controversial phrase “school na scam,” igniting debates about the state of education and employment in Nigeria.
In response to a comment on his viral post, Retiredman explained his stance, saying, “If school is not a scam, why are a lot of graduates still out there unemployed?” This comment resonated with many, especially considering the rising unemployment rates among Nigerian graduates.
Celebrating a double milestone, Retiredman’s birthday also falls today, September 15.
He graduated on Friday and today, September 15 he is currently performing at an event organized by his colleague and friend, Sarki Dariya, in Jos.
Taking to Facebook to share his signing-out pictures, Retiredman expressed his gratitude for the support he received, writing:
“God bless you boss Sarkin Dariya for coming to Plasu for the first time to celebrate my signing out! Also seniors Funnygee, Youngee, Omachi, Donbella etc una shock me! I came, I saw, they conquered. Highest carryover student in Nigeria! I break record.”
