Nigerian journalist Daniel Nsa has captivated social media with a touching post featuring a picture of himself and his youthful-looking mother.
Shared via his Facebook page on Friday, September 13, the photo has left many amazed by his mother’s vibrant appearance, with some even mistaking her for his younger sister.
In his post, Daniel revealed the story behind the two-year-old picture.
He humorously recounted how his mother had called him to direct her birthday photo shoot, despite his hectic schedule.
“This is the kinda picture you take when your mom calls you to come direct her birthday photo shoot and you have to move all the way unprepared—after spending two nights in front of your laptop, cos you had a job you wanted to deliver,” Daniel wrote.
He added that the timing of the shoot coincided with his participation in a “no shave and soda challenge,” leading to a rough appearance that made him joke about resembling a footballer from “Taribo West FC.” Nevertheless, the spontaneous photo became one of his favorites.
Daniel’s post concluded with a lighthearted note about the persistent nature of African mothers when it comes to family photos.
“When African moms say, ‘Come and take a picture,’ you already know there’s no escaping it,” he joked, hinting at how such moments could be brought up during family gatherings for years to come.
