A 36-year-old Nigerian man caused a stir on social media after stealing his boss’s car on his first day of work and taking it to church, claiming it was his own to get the pastor’s blessings.
This incident was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by a user.
In a video, the man, whose face was not shown, confirmed his age as 36 while being questioned by reporters.
The man recounted the incident, which happened about 10 days earlier, explaining that he stole his boss’s car, took it to church, and pretended it was his to receive the pastor’s blessings, hoping to use it for Uber.
However, his plan failed when he was tracked and arrested by the police, and then publicly paraded.
