In a significant breakthrough, the Nigerian Police Force has apprehended Markus Maiyaki, a notorious car thief, in Jos, Plateau State.
The arrest was confirmed on Friday night, August 9, by security personnel identified on Facebook as Sekat Sabo.
Sabo’s post detailed the capture of Maiyaki, emphasizing his reputation in the criminal underworld.
The Facebook message read: “This is one Mr. Markus Maiyaki, a notorious car snatcher who was arrested by men of the Nigeria Police, Rantya Division.
“If your car has been snatched or stolen before, kindly visit Rantya Police Division for more information.”
The arrest marks a significant step in tackling vehicle theft in the region, and the police encourage victims to come forward with any related information.
