A young Nigerian student, who had recently graduated from secondary school, has tragically passed away just days after celebrating her outstanding academic achievements.
The girl, whose identity has not been revealed, had made her parents immensely proud by excelling in both her West African Examination Council (WAEC) exams and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams, securing the highest scores in her school.
The family, overjoyed by her success, organized a celebration in her honor.
However, just a few days later, the young girl reportedly went to bed and did not wake up the next morning.
Her untimely death has left her parents, siblings, friends, and relatives devastated and in deep mourning.
Richard Omaba, a Facebook user, brought attention to this heartbreaking incident by sharing the news on his social media page.
In his post, he expressed sorrow and empathy for the grieving family, stating, “17-year-old girl slept and didn’t wake up again few days after her parents threw a party for her for getting the best WAEC result and scoring highest in JAMB from her school.”
Omaba further described the overwhelming grief that has consumed the girl’s loved ones, noting that they have been “crying unconsolably” since her passing.
He offered his condolences, saying, “Losing a child with a bright future as you type R.I.P, may this never be your portion.”
He also prayed for the protection of all children and asked for the young girl’s soul to rest in peace.
This tragic incident has sparked an outpouring of sympathy and prayers from those who have heard the news, as many people express their shock and sadness over the loss of such a promising young life.
