Popular Nollywood actress Ekene Umenwa and her husband, Ifeanyi Ogbodo Alex, have joyfully welcomed their first child.
The news was shared by the actress on her Instagram page, where she also posted photos from her pregnancy photoshoot.
The shoot, which featured Ekene dressed in blue and white, was reminiscent of the Virgin Mary, a significant figure in Christianity known as the mother of Jesus.
Ekene revealed that the theme of the photoshoot was inspired by a vision she had during prayer, which she interpreted as an opportunity to honor Mother Mary’s maternal care and intercession.
She expressed her gratitude for the smooth pregnancy journey, crediting her faith for the experience.
“I am truly blessed by the Lord’s mercy. My pregnancy journey was a wonderful experience, and I give praise to the Blessed Trinity and honor to our Mother Mary, who stood by me throughout,” Ekene wrote.
Ekene and Ifeanyi were traditionally wedded on April 16, 2023, and later celebrated their white wedding in November 2023.
Their latest addition to the family has sparked congratulations and well-wishes from fans and followers online.
