Nigerian music icon Olamide has turned down a luxury car gift from his YBNL signee, Asake, emphasizing that he has no need for it and would rather see it benefit someone in need.
According to Olamide, Asake had presented him with a brand-new 2025 Range Rover as a token of appreciation.
However, the YBNL boss declined the generous gift, stating that he already had enough and that accepting the car would serve no purpose for him.
Instead, he suggested that Asake either give the vehicle to a random person or sell it and distribute the proceeds to those struggling financially.
“Olamide truly believes in lifting people,” a source close to the rapper shared. “It’s crazy that rich people mostly help only other rich people these days.
It’s rare to see them extend a hand to those who are broke, but Olamide is different.”
The award-winning rapper has long been known for his philanthropic efforts and commitment to uplifting young talents in the Nigerian music industry.
Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in the careers of several artists, including Fireboy DML, Adekunle Gold, and Asake, offering them not just mentorship but a platform to thrive.
Olamide’s latest gesture has further solidified his reputation as an artist who prioritizes generosity and social impact over material possessions.
His decision to redirect Asake’s gift toward helping the less privileged has drawn admiration from fans and the public, who continue to celebrate his selflessness.
