President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the current administration’s tough policy decisions will soon bring relief and improve living conditions across the nation.
Speaking at the Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Lagos, President Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting the rule of law, adhering to the principles of separation of powers, and tolerating dissenting views within the legal framework of the country.
He emphasized that the challenging decisions being made were necessary for transformative changes, and he promised that these would soon yield positive outcomes for the populace.
President Tinubu acknowledged the daunting challenges currently facing the nation but urged Nigerians not to adopt a defeatist approach.
Instead, he called for collective resilience in working towards a better future for the country. He highlighted that Nigeria could not continue on its previous trajectory if sustainable development is to be achieved, necessitating significant changes.
“The difficult decisions and changes we are implementing are crucial to altering the status quo,” Tinubu stated. “While they may lead to tough outcomes initially, I am confident that this is only a passing phase, and our policies will soon bring much-needed relief.”
The President also praised the NBA’s role in championing democratic ideals and the rule of law, noting that these principles align with his administration’s objectives.
Tinubu’s address underscored the administration’s determination to address longstanding issues and inefficiencies in the country, setting Nigeria on a path towards sustainable development.
