The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has attributed the stability of the Naira against the Dollar to the power of prayers.
Speaking to his congregation during a recent sermon, Pastor Adeboye emphasized the role of divine intervention in preventing the further depreciation of the Naira.
He said, “If not for our prayers, $1 would have reached N10,000. Prayers stopped the dollar from skyrocketing. The Naira would have crashed up to N10,000 per dollar.”
The revered cleric urged Nigerians to continue praying for the nation’s economy, stressing that persistent prayer is essential for the country’s progress.
“God’s intervention and our intense prayers stopped this from becoming a reality. That’s why we can’t stop and must always keep praying for our country and its economy,” he added.
Pastor Adeboye’s remarks come at a time when the Nigerian economy continues to face challenges, including currency devaluation and inflation, prompting many to seek hope through faith and communal prayers.
