The couple, who had recently hosted a housewarming party, were reportedly in their living room when an unusual and deadly thunderbolt hit their home.
According to sources close to the family, the thunder struck through the gas system, causing a powerful explosion that left no visible burns but had fatal consequences.
Chioma died immediately at the scene, while her husband slipped into a coma and passed away shortly after, despite efforts to save his life.
Reports indicate that Patoranking made significant efforts to assist, including supplying blood in a bid to save his brother-in-law.
Gossip blogger Cutie Julls was one of the first to break the news, with reports suggesting the thunder was of a paranormal nature.
According to the blogger, those close to the family believe the thunder was intentionally “sent” to target the couple.
“Hmmm PATORANKING’s sister’s house after the incident. Some close sources say it’s more like thunder was sent to strike and ‘kpai’ them. The couple were downstairs in the living room when the alleged invisible thunder strike came, went through the gas, and straight to the couple. No burns apparently. The husband went straight into a coma, Chioma passed almost immediately,” the post read.
At the time of this report, Patoranking and his management have not yet made any public statements regarding the incident.
The tragedy has left many in shock, with fans and friends expressing their condolences online.
The exact cause of the thunderbolt remains unclear, but the mysterious nature of the incident continues to stir conversations across social media platforms.
May their souls rest in peace.
