The Kano State Police Command has apprehended two individuals suspected of stealing the sign post of the Bachirawa Police Station in the Ungogo Local Government Area.
The arrest was made possible through the cooperation of local residents.
The Command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, shared the news on Facebook on Wednesday, expressing gratitude to the community for their assistance.
In his statement, originally written in Hausa and later translated to English, Kiyawa said, “The person who stole the Bachirawa Police Station sign post and the person who took it were working together.
Thanks to the efforts of the local residents, a new sign post has already been put up.”
The police praised the vigilance and support of the Bachirawa community, which played a crucial role in the swift apprehension of the suspects.
