Body: Authorities at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Alagbon, Lagos, have obtained a court order to keep controversial social media personality, Bobrisky, in custody as investigations continue.
Bobrisky was arrested on Monday by Nigeria Immigration Service agents at the Seme border in Badagry while attempting to flee the country.
Following his arrest, he was handed over to FCID officers and remains in their custody at the Alagbon facility.
A senior police official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the police sought a court order to extend Bobrisky’s detention.
“We have gone to court to get a detention order to keep Bobrisky pending the outcome of the investigation or further directives from higher authorities,” the official disclosed.
Bobrisky was initially detained at the Seme Area Command before being transferred to Alagbon on Tuesday under tight security.
His arrival at the FCID drew attention, with several officers gathering to see him before he was briefly questioned at the Assistant Inspector General of Police’s office.
The investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected to emerge as the case progresses.
