Pastor Kelvin Okafor, the leader of a church in Abuja, reportedly left his wife and children to marry Mrs. Chinenye Jessica Nwaneri, the women’s leader of his church.
They had a traditional marriage ceremony at a hotel in Owerri on June 22 to avoid media attention, since Pastor Okafor is still legally married to his first wife of 17 years, Mrs. Chidiebere Okafor.
Guests were prohibited from taking photos or videos, but an undercover reporter witnessed the event.
Mrs. Chidiebere Okafor allegedly remains unaware of her husband’s actions, while Mrs. Nwaneri, an ordained elder, is reportedly aware of the situation.
The pastor has faced criticism for his perceived betrayal of his wife and alleged disregard for his religious teachings.
