President Bola Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar reunited on Friday in Abuja, exchanging warm pleasantries at the National Mosque during the Jummah prayer and wedding ceremony of Senator Danjuma Goje’s daughter.
Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga described Atiku as an “old friend” of President Tinubu, noting the congenial moment between the two leaders.
The event was attended by several high-profile personalities, including APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, and former Borno State Governor Ali Modu Sheriff.
Meanwhile, in other developments, Defence Minister Badaru Abubakar affirmed the government’s commitment to addressing Nigeria’s security challenges.
During a visit to the 17 Brigade in Katsina, he reassured troops of President Tinubu’s readiness to provide the necessary resources to combat insecurity, specifically in regions impacted by banditry.
