In a candid interview, Nollywood actor Ramsey Nouah shared details of his early career and the love triangle that once involved his close friend and fellow actor, Emeka Ike, and the iconic Genevieve Nnaji.
Ramsey reminisced about their early days in the industry, noting how he and Emeka had a close bond, having started their careers together.
“Emeka Ike will always be a friend and brother because we started life together in this road of fame where destiny has kept us,” Ramsey said.
Both actors starred alongside Genevieve, who was just beginning her rise to fame.
Ramsey described Genevieve as a beauty beyond physical appearance, with an aura of peace and love that captured the hearts of everyone around her.
However, Ramsey revealed that their shared admiration for Genevieve led to an unspoken rivalry. “Initially, I was making moves to be her man, feeling that our love lives would bring good fortunes,” he confessed.
But when he learned that Emeka was also pursuing her, Ramsey chose to step back.
Out of respect for their friendship, Ramsey confronted Emeka, telling him about his feelings and offering to let him pursue Genevieve—on one condition.
“I only agreed to let go after he promised me he wouldn’t disappoint her,” Ramsey said. Emeka reassured him, promising to treat Genevieve better than he could, as he believed she had a soft spot for him.
Despite the promise, Ramsey noted with a hint of humor that rumors swirled about his own flirtations with Genevieve, with gossip columns like Linda Ikeji’s blog, Naijapal, and Gossipmill speculating on his love life.
However, Ramsey maintained that he would not judge the outcome of Emeka and Genevieve’s relationship, acknowledging that love is a personal choice.
Ultimately, the two did not end up together, and Ramsey reflected on how such things unfold in life. “Love is a choice every adult has a choice to make,” he concluded.
