School Abductions: Some People Don’t Want Education In The North – Bauchi Governor’s Son Says

 

Bauchi state governor’s son, Abdullahi Mohammed, has said that some individuals who are not comfortable with educational development in the northern part of the country, incessant school abductions.

Abdullahi disclosed this via his Instagram account on Wednesday, March 17, following the recent kidnapping of pupils and teachers in a primary school in Rema, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

He wrote;

“Educationally, the North is the most backward region in Nigeria. The situation was worse decades ago”

“Statistically, education started booming and growing since 2010 in the North. Some people are not comfortable with this trend. So they want to destroy it finally by creating fear among pupils and parents. Because education brings liberation and some people will do anything to maintain the staus quo.”
