A 55-year-old woman identified only as Ifeoma tragically passed away after collapsing while sharing a testimony at the Ministry Church in Ejigbo, Lagos, on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
The incident occurred around 8:48 am during the church’s service.
According to reports, Ifeoma had taken to the front of the church to sing songs of gratitude as part of her testimony when she suddenly collapsed.
She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and later referred to the General Hospital in Isolo, where she was pronounced dead.
Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the state police command, confirmed the details of the incident.
He added that upon arrival at the hospital, it was discovered that Ifeoma’s family had already transported her body to Anambra State for burial.
Detectives were dispatched to investigate, but further inquiries revealed that the deceased husband and her family had moved forward with the burial arrangements.
