“Any man seen kissing another man will face the law. America is not the land of evil,” Trump declared, invoking religious beliefs to justify his stance. “God destroyed a whole city because of homosexuality, and we are not going to tolerate it,” he continued, alluding to the biblical account of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Trump further stated that individuals uncomfortable with this policy are free to leave the United States.
